Chips Dig It -- Fixing Watery Store Bought Salsa

There's already a 10-minute salsa situation. I'm not trying to rewrite pico, just make it taste better. Here's the other problem: you bought a container of salsa and it's watery; the chips are doing all the work.

Chips Dig It is a salsa (or guacamole, or elote street corn dip) seasoning. Stir it into the boring tub. Or into chopped tomatoes if you're halfway to homemade and you refuse to chop a pile of cilantro, or more onions like it's your job.

Rescue the tub

Pour off a little liquid if it's swimming. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of Chips Dig It per cup of salsa. Stir. Wait 10 minutes so it hydrates instead of tasting dusty. Taste. Lime juice if it still feels flat, maybe a touch of salt. That's it. You did not become a salsa chef - you stopped eating cold water with tomatoes in it.

Nachos without a recipe card

Chips. Cheese. The rescued salsa. Broiler. Don't walk away — cheese goes from perfect to sad in the time it takes to answer a text. If the meat is leftover Adult Supervision taco meat, throw it on, and then add more cheese. If it isn't, don't invent a project.

I named this one like the chips have a union. They do. They've been talking. The 10-minute salsa post is for from-scratch nights. This is for the fridge tub and the game or Thursday (don't let Big Taco tell you when you're allowed to have tacos). Try Adult Supervision if you want the meat to match the volume of the chips.
